As I was getting ready to go in for my surgery I started getting scared, panicked and crying. I was shaking all over even my legs were jumping off my chair seat. So called the surgery dept at the hospital and explain all that to them, they put me on hold and said if you want to reschedule your surgery till can get something to calm you down before coming in we can do that but will need to call surgeons office to get a new date. I told her I think that would be best. So I called office but no answer back, called again still no answer. So I waited till this morning to call back again, and she said she was gonna discuss it with Dr Juarez first before setting a date to see whether he wants me to come in first or if he just wants to call me in some nerve calming meds before I come in for surgery. I let those on Facebook rooting and cheering me on that the surgery didn't get done yet and why and some were very mean about it. Was laughing bout it, also saying it was just a tool and not a magic cure (how well I know that), called me some harshful names. Those are suppose to be support groups. yeah you can have fun in there but when something as serious as this comes up its not a funny deal. Am sure they were nervous too before surgery. I do this with any kind of procedure being done, it wasn't just cause of THIS surgery in particular. So I blocked those who did that to me, and left the groups that it happened in. Happened in another group but am not saying anything in there, cause just sitting back and gonna watch to see what is being said in there as they are suppose to be one of the biggest groups on there so not saying any names who it was, nor the groups names.
So still waiting on surgeon office scheduler to call me back if not heard anything by 3 will give em a call back. My insurance company health group coach called me while ago I let them know what happened and told them that I warned the office of my panic attacks beforehand and they never done anything about it, she wasn't happy and also put that in the notes. Said if they refuse to give you anything to call them back and they will get ahold of the surgeon and the anesthesiologist to see for them-self what they can get me to calm my nerves for morning of the surgery. A few people have told me they have been given a Valium to calm them. I don't want to take anything that's gonna get in way of the anesthetics during surgery and cause a prob. Will let ya know the outcome.
