December 13, 2011

I am about to start my long journey to get rid of this excessive weight have carried for many years since I had my tubes tied. When I had that done everything exploded every which way and I gained over 107 lbs. I will try to blog each day to let you know what I have done, the steps had to take and journal my foods etc. Some days may be a bit hectic to try to blog if that's the case then I will blog at a time that I can. I am scheduled to go for my seminar on December 14, 2011. I registered for it thru the realize.com site and seen they had one going at the Tempe St Luke's Hospital on that date. With it being end of year, and out insurance bout to change. I wont set up no other things to do just yet till the new insurance kicks in. We will have a new insurance carrier their year so instead of Aetna (which I have now) I will have Cigna. Not sure what they cover etc, so have to wait for it to kick in and be in effect, then will have to call them and get the coverages for this from them, give them the codes etc. And get the approval going. This way can get it on the ball as soon as possible.

I will be going out to MO for week in Jan (from the 8-15) to visit with my family and friends. After I come back I am hoping to get this all going. I kinda like to get it going in a rush but then I cant till after my trip and after the insurance kicks in anyways. I may be able to get the insurance coverages and approvals before I take off to MO. I am doing this for my health. Ever since started putting the weight on my health has really gone down. I have major back problems, high blood pressure, asthma, problems sleeping. With the back problems in mind I cant carry anything of any weight, I cant lay flat of my back, etc. Lots of issues.

I have tried and tried different things through the years. Alot of it has been on my own. I have done Atkins, Weight Watchers, South Beach, T.O.P.S., and even done the hcg protocol. While on the hcg I stuck with it for over a year to give it a fair chance. First round I lost 42 lbs and was fantastic, but as I went onto maintenance till time to start next round the weight crept back up there. Well it was time to start again so because I was back in school I decided to do the injections this time instead of the drops, simply for convenience. Do shot of morning and go on bout my day without having to worry bout the drops at certain times of day. The drops was homeopathic where the injections was pure rx. Well I done that round and was a total failure. So each round I did up though round 6 was a total failure no matter which brand or dosage I used. So it was bout for me to take my week long cruise to Alaska in May 2011 and decided to take a break till come back from that. About a week after my return I started it back up again, decided to give it another chance. While on hcg if under alot of stress the hcg will NOT work. Well got into about a week of the phase 2 with the injections and we had a tragedy in our home. My boyfriend was in a horrible motorcycle accident with left him seriously injured. He suffered broken leg (small bone) at the top where the joint connects to the knee, he had ribs 2-9 on right side all broken, lacerated liver, punctured ling, and from laying on opposite side in this desert heat of Arizona the pavement was literally frying him through his clothes and he got more than 3rd degree burns on shoulder. So with all the stress from that, spending day an night at the hospital with him, etc i decided to stop the hcg protocol and just concentrate on him and making sure he got proper care he needed and make sure they kept him clean etc (which they wasn't)and after he is well, come home, and walking again, then I would try it one more time. So, he came home and started physical therapy and when he got to the point where he was walking with just a 4-leg cane then I knew he was out of the water and would be fine, still going through physical therapy but is much better. So I decided to jump back onto my 7th round (keeping in mind thru this whole time since had started the protocol had only lost like 10-15 lbs total...after the gaining) so I tried a new brand that a friend of mine told me about and done it her way since she had done so well with it. Well guess what was a total failure again. So I threw my hands up in the air and said ok time to stop spending my money on something that just don't work for me and stop. I stopped, I had heard bout this bio-medic diet and juice fast diet, tried both of those was starving with the juice fast (still do the juicing just of a morning though), and the bio-medic made my blood pressure go to 135/105 and felt really weird so I stopped that as well. Cant put my health at risk.

So I am tired of all these yo yo diets that just don't work for me. I was on the hcg from Aug 2010 till Nov 2011 that's long enough for total failure and too much money spent on it. I decided to do what I had originally wanted to do in the first place before doing the hcg anyways, but thought would give it a chance, I think over a year is plenty of chance. I wanted to do this gastric surgery at that time but like I said thought I'd give the hcg a chance since it done so well with some of my friends. So I got onto realize.com created an account and looked for seminar in my area and found one here on Mill St in Tempe, AZ not far from my home.

So I have taken the first step and scheduled a seminar which is for tomorrow December 14, 2011 at 2pm at the Tempe Hospital. Sorry this is such a long introduction but wanted to get it all out there of what I have struggled with all my life.
